Something a little different is hitting this space today, with a down to earth heart to heart with you guys and myself really. Often in life, we tend to forget the little things that matter. It's not all about work, parties and drinking endless amounts of alcohol and eating our body weight in pizza. Often it's doing what we enjoy, and spending time with people we love. On Tuesday, 2nd September 2014 me and my parents decided to take the day off as it was their 14th Wedding Anniversary.
It's not often you get moments to take the day off work and celebrate something particularly significant. We decided to go to Holkham beach with my 3 Dogs to have a relax and spend some quality time together. Putting work aside, we took our 3 very over excited little creates for a swim on the beach and it was lovely. We ended up going to the Holkham Hotel opposite for a couple of beverages and some lush food (I opted for Parsnip Soup & Fish and Chips which lemme tell ya, was delicious.
I just wanted to write this post to not only give myself a moment to share with you guys what I feel is important, but also to remind myself and all of you out there of how important it is to not forget the little things in life. Often things can get hectic, whether it be your studying schedule, work commitments or stresses regarding just you. But it's important not to forget, there are people out there who love you. Whether that be your Friends or Family or your partner, they're always there. And there is always someone worse off than you.
Makeup ranting and raving aside, just take today to think about all the things that are good in your life and re-evaluate how you are splitting your time and who your priorities really are. All I want you to take from this is not to forget the little things in life as after all, that's all that matters and hey... we only live once. Right?
