REPURCHASE: MY EVERYDAY, STAPLE EYESHADOW

Us lazy ladies can't be dealing with building up that smokey eye at 6am on a Monday morning, or any day of the week let's be honest. A saturday night, yeah sure, I'm sold. But any other day, I just cba. When I watched Tanya Burr's Birthday Makeup Tutorial about a year and a half ago (BABE alert) I knew it had to be mine. I even wore it to prom last June, yeah... you heard me. It's THAT good. And hey presto, guess where it's from? Good ole, trusty MAC.

Yep, MAC hit the spot once again with the Mac Woodwinked Eyeshadow. I literally can't go a day without using it, nothing else is quite the same. You can just prep the lids with the good ole Benefit Stay Don't Stray Eyeshadow Primer or a Maybelline Colour Tattoo or a Mac Paintpot so that it just gains the most pigment out of it as possible. Next up, you just need a Flat Brush (preferably, it really intensifies the pigment and glitter if so - Naked Palette and Naked 3 Palette Brushes are winners!), then just blend it out with a fluffy brush and you're good to go.

As you blend it out, it creates a red toned shadow colour in the crease which makes it look like you're a don at smokey eyes. This would look so gorgeous on you blue eyed gals, but it really does compliment hazel / brown eyes too. Stunning. I'd highly recommend topping it off with a Pink lip too, I love Benefit Posie Tint, particularly the tinted lip balm - slight gloss is even better.

Another way you can wear this is to use one of the new L'oreal Ombre Pure Eyeshadows, particularly the colour Nude. Pack that on with a flat brush, and then use a Mac 217 Brush  (I use the dupe from the Zoeva Rose Gold Brush Collection) to add a wash of the Mac Woodwinked Eyeshadow on. It'll give more of an intense, wet look to the lids... which let's be honest L'oreal are awesome at achieving.

So ladies - can you tell I'm sold? Yep. Can't beat it. So easy, so versatile, so freaking kick ass.
