Today, we have a very special guest who goes by the name of Emma Griffy. She's kick ass at all things Beauty, Fashion and Youtube related. I've been a lover her little blog space for a long time and let's just say she's a huge enabler. From her eyeliner reccommendations to her fashion pieces... stunning. Her Youtube channel, well just perfection (*cough* check our her room tour *cough). So, I'm over the moon to announce that we're collaborating today to share our Top 5 Makeup Picks. Without further ra-do, Emma, take it away...
''Firstly, Hi Brook Dellar readers! I hope you enjoy my little post… In my makeup bag I chosen Five Main Staples, products that have been staples for a very long time. I feel as if I rave about them constantly so there may have been many YouTube videos where these have beauties have cropped up…
Now, Nars Sheer Glow Foundation... this foundation is a game changer! And completely lives up to the hype. I have the colour ‘Fiji’. Before trying this foundation I was nervous about the whole 'glow' claim in the title; I tend to get quite oily and I was worried it would make me look shiny - it didn’t at all. The foundation feels almost silk-like and is so light on the skin with a ‘medium’ coverage. I would highly recommend it; it’s my go-to foundation for every day.
Next a Bronzer & Highlight, this is a drugstore contour kit by Bourjois Delice de Poudre Duo. This is a relatively recent newbie in my makeup bag, you can read my in depth review on it here. I used to use the normal Chocolate Bar Bronzer for years! When I seen this it was like all my bronzer & highlight related dreams came true! I'm so happy they combined a highlight, it’s great having an all in one as I don't like to have a huge makeup bag so this is less to carry round. The bronze is a perfect matte for under the hollows of the cheek bones and the highlight is perfect to dust over cheek bones, nose, forehead and chin. Best fact till last - this thing smells of chocolate; OMG. I hope you’re as sold as I am.
I love Soap and Glory, I'm a huge fan of their bath and body selections but a few years back I branched out into their makeup and haven't looked back since. One of my favourites from their makeup range is the Soap and Glory One Heck of a Blot Setting Powder. This is much more like a high-end setting powder, it’s so soft and mattify’s my t-zone perfectly. It’s not cakey or ashy, just the perfect translucent powder.
The L'oreal Telescopic in Ultra Black has taken my lashes to new heights! I'm a total ‘fuss pot’ when it comes to mascaras, I never like high-end mascaras; I'm definitely a drugstore dabbler. I have medium size lashes that are very straight, so the main issues I have are thickening, lengthening and curling. This product seems to do all three. After curling with lash curlers this mascara holds the curl all day. The lengthening aspect is amazing.

Lastly a liquid liner. The Stila Stay All Day Eyeliner is the only liner for me. I don't think I will ever use another liner now! I have real problems with oily lids, no liner previous to this stayed on my eyes, every single liner I’ve used has creased or smudged. This also has a pen style tip applicator which is perfect for creating those feline flicks!"
Thank you Emma! I also featured on Emma's blog here. It's official, I need to get my hands on Nars Sheer Glow Foundation... Uh oh. Make sure you go and check her Blog and Youtube Channel out - she's awesome. Period.
